Vision Point Systems, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to work primarily in our Fairfax, VA office. Responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. A qualified Data Analyst will develop analysis and reporting capabilities while also monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Specific duties will include, but will not be limited to:
-Laboratory experimental design
-Data analysis and visualization using statistical techniques and to provide ongoing reports
-Statistical analysis, modeling, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
-Create data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
-Resource forecasting and optimization
-Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Requirements
-1-3 years of directly related and/or applicable experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or other related field. Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
-Strong math, critical thinking, and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
-Technical experience with R and/or Python (with an emphasis on data libraries such as pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, etc.) programming languages.
-Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
Highly Desired skills:
-Experience with data visualizations
-Experience with machine learning
