Vir Biotechnology is looking for a Senior Director Technical Operations Business Systems and Data Strategy who will execute and evolve Vir's global data strategy and manage Vir's supply chain, manufacturing, and quality systems portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, you will bridge business needs with technical solutions to address business challenges. You are a multi-faceted, dynamic professional and business relationship manager who brings deep data strategy realization and enterprise systems experience with a strategic approach to leading technology projects. Working remotely, you will perform as a creative and thoughtful builder of dynamic teams that provide global solutions in a matrix environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Global Data Strategy Realization:
- Develop and execute the Tech Ops project roadmap to achieve Vir's global data strategy
- Lead data management teams to design Vir's enterprise data architecture, data operations, and data analytics.
- Seek for enterprise data innovation by staying current on new standards, methods, tools, platforms, and industry trends. Partner with business teams and IT to identify novel business needs and applications.
- Lead the design, implementation, and adherence to Vir's data governance frameworks and systems. Ensure strategic use of data, while applying innovation and efficiency.
- Achieve data quality, usability, availability, and accuracy. Maximize value from data to grow revenue, improve processes, ensure compliance, and reduce costs.
- Work with stakeholders to establish and maintain global data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Technical Operations Business Systems:
- Lead process and systems transformation through automation, decision support and operations performance management.
- Manage the Technical Operations technology portfolio including supply chain, CMC, manufacturing, and quality systems. Partner with IT to create and execute the IT roadmap.
- Identify and lead the business team members to design and implement enterprise systems to refine operations and improve efficiencies.
- Collaborate with product and technology team members to integrate product/platform experiences, data, and workflows.
- Partners with the Supply Chain, Finance and Quality leadership to achieve corporate and department
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree and 18+ years of professional experience at a senior level in data strategy, governance, data management and analytics combined with proven business systems implementation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing successful teams, delivering complex projects, building productive business partnerships.
- Experience leading digital transformation projects, applying process reengineering and technology to deliver with speed and quality across global teams.
- Excellent knowledge of business software including NetSuite, SAP, Veeva, SmartSheets, Tableau, and other supply chain, CMC manufacturing and quality systems. Experience integrating product/platform experiences, data and workflows.
- Accomplished in building of teams and developing people. Comfortable working with a broad cross section of people in direct and matrixed relationships
- Outstanding skills in strategic communication to cultivate positive relationships with a diverse set of partners.
- Ability to think end-to-end, and champion the digital experience.
