Write ETL processes, design database systems and develop tools for real-time and off-line analytic processing; troubleshoot software and processes for data consistency and integrity, integrate large scale data from a variety of sources for business partners to generate insights and make decisions; translate business specifications into design specifications and code; responsible for writing complex programs, ad hoc queries and reports; ensure all code is well structured, includes sufficient documentation and is easy to maintain and reuse; partner with internal clients to gain an enhanced understanding of business functions and informational needs; gain expertise in tools, technologies, and applications/databases in specific business areas and companywide systems; lead all phases of solutions development; explain technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients and less experienced team members; test code thoroughly for accuracy of intended purpose; review end product with clients to ensure adequate understanding; provide job aids to team members and business users; design and conduct training sessions on tools and data sources used by team and self-provisioners; test and implement new software releases through regression testing; identify issues and engage with vendors to resolve and elevate software into production. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
Requires Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related IT field and two years of experience in job offered and/or in IT positions including Data Engineer and/or Programmer Analyst; or Bachelor’s and five years of experience. Background in education, training or experience must include Python, SQL, Spark, AWS (S3, EC2), Tableau, Redshift, and Snowflake.
