Research Intern - Machine Learning (Adversarial Attacks)

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Research Intern - Machine Learning (Adversarial Attacks) to join us for our Winter 2023 Internship program.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in cutting-edge research, with the potential for published results
  • Build deployable and scalable systems that solve real-world problems
  • Be paired with a “lab buddy”, who will encourage and support your professional growth
  • Present an end-of-internship project
  • Identify and implement clever approaches for attacking adversarial ML defenses in various potential domains (e.g. image/video, speech)
  • Report findings on key insights gained in adversarial ML evaluation experiments


Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in CS, EE, Math, Computer Engineering ,Statistics or a related field

  • Familiar with a modern programming language (C/C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Haskell, OCaml, etc.)

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a secret clearance

  • Must have experience or coursework with at least ONE of the following:

  • Machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or data visualization

  • Mobile and embedded system development or architecture (Android, ARM, wireless, IoT etc.)

  • Large scale data processing, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Cassandra

  • Program analysis, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, cryptographic protocols

  • Fundamental understanding of networking computer systems architecture, systems programming

  • Vulnerability analysis & capability development/hacking (memory corruption, rootkits, MetaSploit, nmap, etc.)

  • Programming language theory, formal methods, constraint solving, or mathematical logic
