Job Description
We are seeking commercial data analysts with demonstrable experience in utilising data to present business solutions that generate value for our clients. The rate of adoption of technology in the construction industry is changing at pace. You will be confident in being able to identify opportunities and the business rationale to support investment.
You will need to be confident in working independently to understand clients’ outputs and outcomes and then developing solutions to surface that information for decision making purposes. As such your key quality will be an excellent ability to communicate and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be in a senior role, helping to both drive development within a dedicated teams of reporting specialists, typically using Agile methodologies whilst also actively delivering the required scope.
Out clients are some of the largest infrastructure and real estate clients in Ireland. They have complex and ever changing technologies. Our approach is to work within their technology environments. As such you will be enthusiastic about learning new tools and systems and constantly looking to support innovation and change.
You will be mathematically adept and be confident in working with a range of technologies. We are looking for a range of people, typically those with excellent back-end development skills in building data-marts as well as front end developers working confident in Microsoft’s technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading team presenting and pitching clear and bespoke business cases to clients
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a client facing role
- Considerable experience in working to develop software tools to improve the efficiency of an existing process using the Microsoft stack of products. Excel, VBA, SQL, etc
- Understands project and programme delivery in the built environment and ideally in the context of a large utility
- Who can deal with multiple stakeholders and ideally has some consultancy experience
Qualifications
These roles will require good analytic and strong numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations. Preferred skills include:
- Degree in an analytic subject, e.g. Maths, Geography, Engineering, Economics etc.
- A Level Maths and/or computing
- Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA would be advantageous
- An understanding of different project delivery methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile etc)
- Experience with modelling. diagramming applications (e.g. Visio, LucidChart, etc)
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates will be expected to engage with clients and be comfortable in eliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
