Job Description

• Responsible for the end-to-end development cycle (deployment to production) of machine learning projects following best practices from software and cloud engineering
• Design and implement but also enhance and maintain (MLOps) existing cloud-based (AWS) systems and tools for building and maintaining machine learning pipelines (CI/CD)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, data and platform engineers, product and marketing teams to translate the business needs into pragmatic and efficient machine learning solutions
• Communicate your approaches, results and findings to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
• Upskill your data science colleagues and ensure proper knowledge sharing with the mindset what you build as a team, you also run as a team
• Work in an ego-free environment and be part of a motivated, fast-paced, and result-driven agile team with highly ambitious and intelligent people in our growing data analytics department
• Stay up to date with the latest industry developments and technologies

Qualifications

• Very good programming or software engineering skills in Python and hands-on experience of using and implementing ML tools and systems for containerization, orchestration, data processing and inference pipelines
• Hands-on experience with cloud services in the context of Machine Learning (ideally previous exposure to AWS Sagemaker), MLOps, and version control
• Familiar with building CI/CD pipelines (i.e., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., terraform)
• Excellent communication skills to to align with stakeholders and explain your work to other tribe and department members
• Confident in working with modern machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, pytorch, transformers, langchain
• Excellent knowledge of modern supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms
• Strong project and self management skills to succeed working in a remote environment
• Excellent problem solving skills with a hands on mentality and sense for pragmatism
• Strong commitment to teamwork and resilience in a creative and constantly changing environment
• Sense of humour
