What You’ll Learn

 Project:

• We are aggressively working on GNSS navigation performance improvements on mobile handsets and wearables leveraging the aiding from a global map database. This project is about building the framework, designing the algorithms, and automating well-defined processes to enable the fast growth of our map database at a global scale.

Skills You’ll Learn:

• Processing of geospatial data
• Data mining, classification, fusion, validation &visualization
• Insights of end-to-end process for how map data is created, archived, transferred & used on millions of mobile handsets/wearables.

What You’ll Do

• Develop intelligent algorithms for data mining,
• data classification, data fusion, data validation, data visualization, and further automate the entire process
• Participate the design of framework to enable the growth of map data at global scale in our database
• Collaborate with data vendors, data server engineer(s) and navigation engineers to identify and resolve potential issues in map data
• Draft technical reports on the development work
• Prepare a presentation of the intern project to the whole organization
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Location:  Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose Headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

What You Bring

• Masters with 5+ years or PhD with 3+ years of
• experience in geospatial data processing
• Required excellent programming skills in Python, Matlab, C/C++
• Good knowledge in database, such as PostGreSQL
• good knowledge of data server and cloud
• Proficiency in different data structures and relevant algorithms
• Experience with different map data formats

Hourly Base Pay Rate

$27—$57 USD
