Job Description
RightEye™ is seeking a skilled and experienced lead data architect to join our engineering. This position will report directly to our VP of Engineering and be responsible for the development of a production ready data platform to power RightEye’s AI needs.
The lead data architect will be responsible for architecting the complete lifecycle of data from ingest, tokenization/anonymizing, at-rest, delivery, and governance, ensuring that data quality, reliability, and accessibility are built-in to the data platform.
The lead data architect will ensure that the documentation, processes, and related artifacts are created and understood by internal resources during the engagement.

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deliver a data architecture and associated data models for multiple data products incorporating all data and metadata required to support the needed use cases.
- Create a set of standards that describe how data should be sourced, processed, stored, and delivered.
- Serve as a key contributor to ensure that developments are built to these standards.
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of a robust and extensible data platform.
- Collaborate closely with product, science, engineering, and business leaders to ensure needs are met and compliance mandates such as HIPPA, GDPR, CCPA are met.
- Demonstrate a strong expertise for balancing architectural principles with tactical timelines, costs, and risks.
- Ensure that knowledge transfer occurs continuously throughout the project.
Skill set:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data architecture, AWS cloud technologies, data modeling, integration, and data engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing architecture and design leadership to technology and product teams.
- Deep experience in Web-scale/enterprise-grade solutions from prototyping through launch.
- Deep expertise in refining requirements, designing data systems architecture, and providing testing strategies.
- Ability to think beyond legacy approaches to enterprise data management and embrace the latest technologies at the intersection of data and artificial intelligence.
- Strong understanding of data and information architecture, including experience with a variety of data structures (relational, unstructured, graph, multi-dimensional), transactional, streaming and batch data processing.
- A solid understanding and experience with data APIs, hubs, pipelines, integration, reporting and analytics platforms.
- Extensive experience with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, including working with remote and hybrid teams.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and successfully carry out projects to successful conclusion.
- Active listener with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience leading metadata and data management transformation is a big plus.
- Experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning is also highly desired.
