Job Summary
As a Junior Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to conduct a thorough analysis and assessment of inventory and stock management processes. You will play a critical role in providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize stock levels, improve operational efficiency, and support decision-making. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to interpret data to drive effective stock management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of inventory levels, stock movement, and stock-related data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Inventory Optimization: Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize stock levels, ensuring the right balance between demand and supply.
Forecasting: Utilize historical data and market trends to forecast future stock requirements, supporting accurate planning and replenishment.
Stock Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock management, providing regular reports and performance insights.
Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align stock levels with anticipated demand and seasonal fluctuations.
Inventory Reconciliation: Ensure accuracy in stock records by performing regular reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
Stock Allocation Strategies: Develop effective stock allocation strategies based on demand forecasts, customer preferences, and inventory constraints.
Stock Aging Analysis: Monitor stock aging and implement measures to prevent the accumulation of obsolete or expired inventory.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance stock management processes and contribute to operational efficiency.
Reporting and Presentations: Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations on stock analysis findings for stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Stock System Management: Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and optimize stock management systems for accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience in stock analysis or inventory management roles.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with stock management software and systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
