London, England, United Kingdom

Let’s Do This is the online company getting people offline.

We exist to inspire people across the world to come together and experience moments that make them feel alive. The first vertical we’re focusing on is mass participation sports events, where we’re proud to be the global leader.

We now take over 750,000 bookings every year, driving growth for our industry from the large-scale experiences like the UK’s Great North Run and San Francisco’s Bay To Breakers to hero races like the Hackney Half, the London Triathlon, or grassroots runs like those from RunThrough.

We’ve grown exponentially in the UK since our launch in 2017 and are now in the process of expanding within the US market with the same energy our brand represents. Our investors include Tier 1 VCs NFX, EQT, Y-Combinator and legendary individuals Serena Williams and Usain Bolt.

How did we do it? With an exceptional team. The Let’s Do This team brings in experience ranging from London’s fastest growing start-ups to the world's biggest tech companies, including Facebook, Google, Deliveroo, King and Skyscanner. Having just been named as one of the UK’s top 15 startups 2021 by LinkedIn, it couldn't be a more exciting time to join our team.

The Team

The Role

This is a key strategic hire; you will work across the company supporting teams to be data-driven by uncovering better and more appropriate data for their decision making. In essence, the role involves understanding how data is created and consumed across the business and translating this into a technical implementation. This includes ingesting data into our data warehouse, transforming it to unlock its potential value, and surfacing this data to the right stakeholders. Technical skills, business acumen, and communication will be key to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Building a modern data platform: You will be a core member in the team that builds our data platform, that powers all the work we do related to data at Let’s Do This. To do this, SQL is a core skill you need, for designing ETL, understanding dimensional modelling and how to ensure data quality, as well as the implementation of a system like that. Experience with dbt is helpful as well. To build pipelines that get data into our data warehouse, Python is important, and having worked with pipelining tools like FiveTran or Stitch is a plus. We use a modern tech stack with Snowflake, AWS, Looker and Terraform, and experience with those are a plus.

Impact: This role can hugely improve how we run our business and how we make business decisions, through surfacing the right data at the right time and building a platform that helps us do that. A constant focus on positive impact for the business will help being amazing in this role. In terms of work practices, you focus on speed, design for simple solutions and have an understanding of what is good enough.

Stakeholder management: You work closely with key people in the company. Identify what the questions they need to answer are, and how they can be best informed to answer them. Bring them along on the journey of finding, transforming and surfacing the information that they need. You are able to work with multiple stakeholders at the same time, and can prioritise, including communicating those priorities to your stakeholders.
