Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
We are searching for a self-motivated student to join our ML Research team in projects focused on Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Image/Video Analytics. The student will contribute to new technology development in the area of 3D scene, understand/reconstruct and spatial AI systems for next generation robotic surgery platforms. This role is an exciting opportunity to test your knowledge and abilities in a challenging problem-solving environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Insights Extraction: Analyze and extract insights from data acquired through a range of gastrointestinal procedures.
- Pipeline Failure Detection: Identify instances of pipeline failure by assessing performance metrics and comparing them to previous datasets.
- Technical and Algorithmic Focus: Concentrate on addressing technical and algorithmic challenges relevant to Intuitive's Israel team, particularly in the application of deep learning and computer vision to the field of GI medical imaging.
- Collaboration with Research Professionals: Collaborate with Research Scientists or Research Software Engineers as a Research Intern, working closely to support their projects.
- Continuous Software Development: Be responsible for ongoing software development tasks, encompassing data handling, testing, and experiment management.
- Academic Contributions: Contribute to one or more academic publications, further enhancing our collective knowledge in the field.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Student towards a Master’s/PhD degree in computer science, Electrical engineering, Physics, Mathematics or similar, with at least three semesters till graduation.
• Deep academical understanding in: Classic computer vision, Statistics, Linear algebra
• Practical or academical experience designing and implementing solutions for computer vision and deep learning applications.
• Hands on experience developing in Python
• Team player 😊
• Availability to work at least 18 hours per week onsite (Tel Aviv).
