Job Description
We are a leading Spanish airline looking to expand our team with a new Data Product Owner. This exciting role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for cutting-edge technologies and a strong background in data management and innovation. As the Data Tech Product Owner, you will be responsible for researching, identifying, and implementing data-driven solutions to revolutionize the airline industry.
Responsibilities:
- Research and Stay Updated on Data Technologies: Identify how these technologies can be utilized in the developments to drive data-driven decision-making and improve customer experiences.
- Identify opportunities and use cases for these technologies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and challenges. Support Business to identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics to address these challenges and drive business growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners to implement new integrated solutions: Work closely with development teams, creating user stories in Jira, and tracking team performance. Seek improvements in agile ways of working and ensure efficient data product development. Lead the implementation of system integrations and demonstrate their value and potential. Ensure the solution designs meet industry quality standards such for cyber security, robustness, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Quality Assurance and Impact Assessment: Ensure data quality and robustness in each system integration. Know by hard the data and secure the Governance of Data. Track product OKRs, continuously evaluate the product's success and make recommendations for improvements.
- Communicate with key stakeholders: Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders, ensuring that the data solutions are meeting their needs and delivering a positive impact on the business. Keep stakeholders informed about progress, findings, and opportunities for growth or optimization.
- Be a technical reference: Act as a technical authority by comprehending system architecture and proposing streamlined system integrations. Demonstrate expertise in various systems, identifying optimal pathways for seamless integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or relevant work experience in these fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and innovation.
- Strong understanding of the latest Data tech trends.
- Experience in working in Agile (scrum), using the Jira suite is a plus.
- Experience as scrum master is a plus.
- Experience in the airline industry is a plus.
- Experience in AWS native technologies for Data is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Proactiveness, initiative taking and attention to detail are crucial qualities for this role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
