The role sits within the Organisational Intelligence team within Future. The team is guiding the business to become more data-driven.

What you'll be doing...

You will partner with business teams to develop a data-driven culture and enable self-service for analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own reporting and insights for business teams
  • Own and develop reporting roadmap together with key stakeholders
  • Ensure reporting meets business needs and is driving business decisions
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand their needs and translate these into clear requirements for data analysis and reporting
  • Deliver ad-hoc / project based initiatives to support business teams to make the most of data
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data to drive commercial value
  • Identify development needs to improve and streamline operations
  • Perform data integrity and audit checks to ensure accuracy of reports
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and resolve these issues
  • Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible to stakeholders
  • Provide training & documentation to support the business users in ensuring that all staff are trained and competent in using and interpreting the dashboards & reports.
  • Accountable and responsible for meeting project timelines
  • Act as bridge between data teams and business teams
  • Coordinate activities with wider data teams to deliver projects
  • Lead and coach small team of analysts

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Experience as a BI Manager or similar analytic manager role, preferably in an ecommerce environment
  • Line management experience of a small team
  • Leadership skills and ability to support, motivate and coach team members
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, technical and non-technical
  • Strong project management experience to effectively work across the business
  • Respond and adapt positively to to changing requirements
  • Proactively generate own ideas and work to deliver organisational goals
  • This is a hands-on role where the BI Manager is expected to be a technical expert for the department
  • Proficient with SQL, data modelling and ETL processes
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, BigQuery, Looker / Looker Studio and Google Sheets
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed domain knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to develop insightful and user-friendly reports and analyses
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights at all levels
  • Apply design thinking principles in an agile environment
  • Product mindset and ability to effectively gather requirements from business stakeholders
  • Drive to make the organisation more data-driven
