We are looking for a talented and motivated Google Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. As a Google Cloud Engineer focused on Data Engineering, you will work closely with our senior engineers to help design, build, and maintain our data engineering and analytics projects. You will have the opportunity to work on fast paced exciting projects, utilizing cutting-edge technologies, and making a significant impact on the company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Build data pipelines using GCP tools like Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and others.
- Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot GCP databases including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, BigTable, and Cloud Spanner
- Research and document data engineering technologies/techniques specific to customer requirements
- Work with a team to build robust, scalable data solutions for our clients
Requirements:
- Experience with one or more GCP data engineering technologies, like Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, or others
- Experience with one or more GCP database technologies, like BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, AlloyDB, or others
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Go
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong data engineering or analytics foundations are highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is not a requirement.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Looker & LookML or other data visualization tools
- Experience with data governance tools like Dataplex, Data Catalog, and DLP
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Project Management and Version Control Tools (we use ClickUp & Github!)
- The ability to showcase some code you’ve written. We love links to GitHub contributions!
