Job Description

We are currently looking for a Director - Data Warehouse, Analytics & Machine Learning to join our growing team! In this role, you will lead the data integration initiatives and you will be responsible for driving the strategy, design, development, and execution of a comprehensive data warehouse that consolidates data from legacy systems across finance, marketing, and operations. This is a critical role to harness the power of integrated data for strategic decision-making and innovation.

As a Director - Data Warehouse, Analytics & Machine Learning, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with Brightspeed's business goals and supports data-driven decision-making across various departments
• Lead a team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Brightspeed's data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and scalability
• Drive the development and deployment of advanced analytics and machine learning models to extract actionable insights from large and complex datasets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities where data-driven solutions can provide a competitive advantage
• Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives, making strategic adjustments as needed
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data warehousing, analytics, and machine learning, and recommend their integration into Brightspeed's data strategy
• Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage expertise and tools for enhancing data capabilities
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals  

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of proven experience in data management, data warehousing, analytics, and machine learning, with at least 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
• Strong background in the telecom industry or related sectors, with a deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities in the field
• Proficiency in data technologies such as SQL, NoSQL databases, data warehousing solutions (e.g., Google data products), and business intelligence tools
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and a track record of deploying machine learning models into production
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of technical professionals
• Strategic mindset, with the ability to align data initiatives with overall business objectives
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
