Job Description

Over the last few years, Bosch has established the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) as one of the leading enterprise research centers for AI in Europe and the world.

The enabling team is one part of the BCAI with the mission to enable all of Bosch to apply AI and achieve its full potential in a data-driven IoT company. We are developing as well as offering multiple expert programs for our company and are building an active community of experts as well as enthusiasts inside Bosch.

  • As an expert in foundation models, you contribute to the future of the enabling team and all of Bosch.
  • You design and conduct training offers on foundation models, incorporating latest research results as well as Bosch-developed tools and functionalities. This way you pave the way for Bosch to use these powerful tools in our diverse projects and products.
  • In your role as an expert program mentor, your task is to lead diverse data science projects with experienced Bosch engineers by adding the data science competency to their profile.
  • Furthermore, you compose the expert program consisting of eUniversity offers, Bosch internal research results, specific assignments and hands-on collaborative work on your trainees projects.

Qualifications

  • Education: excellent degree (PhD/Master) in Computer Science, Natural Science, Engineering or similar
  • Experience and knowledge:
    • strong background and experience with foundation models, specifically Large Language Models (LLMs)
    • experience with foundation models for computer vision tasks is a strong advantage
    • solid theoretical background and in-depth knowledge in machine learning as well as artificial intelligence
    • know-how in developing and giving lectures, tutorials and presentations on complex topics
    • several years of experience in applying machine learning methods
    • good coding ability in Python (e.g. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch and Jupyter notebooks)
    • experience with collaborative projects and version control such as git
  • Personality and Working Practice: enthusiastic, communicative and interpersonal skills with a strong tendency to exchange knowledge
  • Enthusiasm: keen to share ideas and have open discussions
  • Languages: fluent in English, German is a plus
