About this Role
The External Network Transformation group is looking to hire a Director, External Network Strategy (Network Screening and Data Management). The incumbent engages with Executive Leadership of PO&T to establish and influence strategic direction of the External Network required to support and anticipate the needs of Biogen across all modalities. Responsible to build a digital organization with integrated systems and processes enabling seamless & efficient connection to the supplier network. Develop and drive the use of simplified and improved tools, accurate data from one Source of Truth and analytics to give better insights and allow for faster decision making. Institutes tools to screen supplier networks and quickly provide relevant information needed for agile and efficient decision making in relation to the External Network.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to be based in any one of our offices in RTP,NC, Cambridge, MA, or Baar, CH.
What You'll Do
- Long range planning in alignment with clinical and commercial needs across a variety of modalities including large molecules, small molecules, antisense oligonucleotides, parenteral fill finish and gene therapy assets.
- Create and implement data strategies that support business goals, ensure data availability, and uphold data quality through governance policies.
- Develop Framework for capability assessments, including short- and long-term needs for Biogen. Utilize the framework to screen the external ecosystem.
- Utilize analytics to support and inform the External Network team, leadership and operations. Provide simple tools to view and utilize data.
- Perform supplier screening, build screening tools and inform the External Network Team, leadership and the operations of key supplier network details and information.
Qualifications
Who You Are
You are a seasoned leader with robust risk management experience. You will ensure PO&T priorities and business objectives are achieved. You will play an instrumental role in influencing the development of partnerships with key providers to support network strategies.
Requirements
- BS degree with at least 15 years of related experience with a minimum of 10 years being in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Equivalent experience equates to a PhD with at least 12 years of experience
- Demonstrated skills including:
- Ability to influence the organization and team through consistent execution of Biogen Leadership Competencies.
- Strong analytical/critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Project management skills
- Experience with contract manufacturing organizations
- Understanding of and experience with ERP / Planning systems
- Experience with Analytics tools
