Job Description Summary

The Sustainability Data Analyst will support timely and accurate data reporting to track performance against the BD 2030+ Sustainability commitments. Data accuracy is essential for stakeholder awareness and engagement, and to support BDs 2030+ commitment to Transparency.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Sustainability, the Data Analyst will utilize site provided data and provide monthly updates into Sustainability Scorecards, tracking metric updates, and manage additional data requests as needed. The data analyst will also support data loads and information extracts from the carbon management platform.

The successful candidate will be familiar with extracting data from databases (Resource Advisor) and utilizing EXCEL and Power Query/Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Support sites to ensure data is loaded correctly into the Resource Advisor (monthly meeting participation)

  • Extract data from the Resource Advisor for use in Sustainability Scorecards, Bowling Card/Factory Dashboards and Trend analysis.

  • Review extracted data for accuracy

  • Support implementation and management of carbon management platform

  • Participate and support internal and external data assurance activities

  • Perform other tasks/projects that may be assigned from time to time

  • Inspire, engage, and align internal and external audiences in telling BD’s ESG and 2030+ story.  Promote, enhance and protect BD’s reputation to both internal and external audiences.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Business Management/Engineering or related profession

  • Advance knowledge in MS Office Power BI

  • Possess analytical skill and enjoy data mining / report analysis

  • Prior experience with data analytics of GHG emissions data and other environmental data a plus

  • Experience in a publicly traded company and/or regulated industry preferred.

  • Results oriented with an ability to implement and execute measurable results. 

  • Ability to interpret and communicate data and data trends

  • Ability to maintain discretion and appropriately manage confidential information.

  • Travel: Up to 10% of the time.
