About the Role

As a Data Engineer - Snowflake Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimising our data pipeline and analytics architecture on the Snowflake platform. You will work closely with data analysts, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability. Your expertise in Snowflake will drive the efficiency and scalability of our data ecosystem, enabling informed business decisions.

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows from various sources to the Snowflake platform.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data models and structures.
  • Optimise data warehouse performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols, access controls, and data encryption within Snowflake.
  • Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to the data architecture.
  • Document technical specifications, data lineage, and workflow diagrams.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Expertise in Snowflake architecture, design, and performance optimisation.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, database design, and data modeling concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to write and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Snowflake certification(s) would be a definite advantage
