Machine Learning (ML) Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Data team is tasked with analyzing the messages data flowing through our system daily, combining it with a variety of other insightful data sources to further our understanding of what makes a great message, and which messages are most likely to further a conversation. We’ll then use these insights to help our customers optimize their workflow and increase conversions.
In this role, you’ll be combining traditional data science work with machine learning tools to build scalable, stable, cost-effective, repeatable, and accurate data pipelines in the cloud that will inform downstream user features. This work may span all aspects of data science and software development lifecycles.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you must be equally skilled in machine learning and data engineering. You have operational experience in leveraging existing ML tools, understanding when to use which algorithms and want to strengthen your proficiency to bring insights to reality.
- Solid understanding of existing models and a wide range of machine learning (ML) tools Proficiency working with SQL databases and data pipelines.
- 3-5 years experience writing production-level code in python and/or other languages.
- Proficiency with professional software engineering practices; including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- You’re comfortable working on a small data team, working iteratively as you run experiments, and equally comfortable with building productionized ML code.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine Learning responsibilities:
- Work with existing models and 3rd party ML tools to instrument learnings from our data Applying existing machine learning algorithms to accurately predict a business outcome
- Productionize the learning models that we believe have value for customers Monitor and optimize models once in production
- Perform complex modeling on dynamic data sets

Experience working with languages and tools like Python, Golang, R, Tensorflow, Sagemaker, etc

Data Engineer responsibilities:

Build production-ready data pipelines and workflow processes (Postgres, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake)

Load data from 3rd party data sources into our environment using out of the box data connectors (Fivetran, Segment, Zapier, etc)

Ensure accuracy and cleanliness of incoming data
*COMPENSATION RANGE: *
$105,000 - $125,000 (FULL TIME) plus. Our compensation decision will be aligned with experience. Headquartered in Colorado, Remote (US).
